Ms. Bailey Hardy

  Can we talk? You know it's so nice having a really cool Mom with kinfolk in high places. Going from the shelter to being Featured Pet on the internet, I can't wait to see what's next. I am truly blessed. If you haven't figured it out by now, my name is Bailey and I have the coolest mom in all the world. But my name wasn't always Bailey. In fact, until my new mommy adopted me on May 11th, 2019 my name was Violet and I'm a blond.....go figure. Need I say more?

  Anyway, my new mommy happened to be searching on the internet on PetFinder.com when she stumbled across this place called the Small Miracles Rescue Shelter in Ellicott City, Maryland, where my birth mother and my two sisters were living after being rescued from a high kill facility in West Virginia. My new mommy, whose name is Crystal...God bless her soul, was searching for someone like me. I'm told that they tried to get my mom to adopt my sister, Vivian.
(Wherever you humans get these names from, is beyond me.)

  Long story short my new mommy ended up with me. Now, my new mommy has never owned one of my kind before in her life, so she had to get some expert to advise her on how to raise me. So, off to the nearby Petco she went. When my mommy came to the shelter to adopt me and bring me to my new home, it was love at first sight. When they opened the door to my cage I jumped right into her waiting arms. When we got home, she had everything I needed just sitting there waiting for me. It was like having my very own toy store. She had even gotten me my own bed, which she later found out was a waste of money, unfortunately.

  I must say I was a bit nervous on the way to my new home. But when I saw that my new home was in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, I got over that nervousness real quick like, let me tell you. And today I have what every single one of my kind should have: a loving parent or parents, a wonderful home, good friends and family and lord knows, good food and clean, cool water. My mommy later told me that when she got the text saying she was approved to adopt me, it was one of the happiest days of her life. My mommy tells me that God knows all and sees all, so you humans best shape up, and you know who you are. What a way to celebrate my one year birthday!
